Nestled between mountains and sea, the beauty and charm of the village of Hout Bay never cease to amaze visitors and locals alike. Hout Bay has managed to keep a village atmosphere, even though it is only 20 minutes away from Cape Town city centre. The village boasts a few shopping centres, many restaurants, a working fishing harbour, the largest bird park in South Africa, many hiking trails, nature reserves and a white sandy beach!The world famous Chapmans Peak drive was opened to the public again at the end of last year after major renovations. It is now a toll road, but well worth the R20 per trip!
