... trains that were run out of Union Station, the central station for the nation's capital. The Washington vacation home sits just over a half a mile from the Capitol Dome. It is in easy walking distance to the Greyhound Bus Station, Union Station and the Capitol Dome itself. This Washington vacation house has a clear view of the Dome from the rooftop of the house.
Washington DC is a large urban area, with a diverse cultural population. It comes with all the benefits and risks of any big city in America. There are sights and sounds that are truly urban in nature with police, fire and ambulance sirens sounding regularly during any stretch of time. I have never had any trouble in the neighborhood, but I also use common sense and a great deal of experience having lived in big cities in the past.

Very nice property. Well furnished and walking distance to Capitol building and Union Station where one can catch tour bus rides. Easy payment and promptness in receiving the key. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Loved this rental! It was clean, newly remodeled, decorated nicely, had all the amenities. We never had to want for a single thing. It was close to the metro. The property management/owners were great to work with. They delivered everything that was represented plus more. We were more then pleased and would definitely stay there again!!

Absolutely perfect (and affordable) for a girl's weekend get-away. As five sisters from all directions, we were able to easily meet in downtown DC. We were nervous about on-street parking but found spots every time without problem. The house was clean, comfortable, well-supplied, nicely furnished and included many extras. Will definitely stay here again on future trips to the area. The owners were very helpful with restaurant information and securing an extra airbed for us. Thank you.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The neighborhood is very nice and neighbors were very friendly and helpful. The apt. was beautiful and comfortable. It was also very convenient to bus transportation.
We wish there had been some bureaus or storage for our clothing since we were there for a week and didn't like having to live out of the suitcase.
There was a TV in each of the bedrooms, but we wished that there had been one in the living room so we could all enjoy watching a show together after our long day visiting DC.
Overall, it was a great stay and I would not hesitate to rent it again or suggest it to others.
Thank you.

This was a great little place to stay! Yes, the neighborhood appears to be in renovation mode, but this property is all renovated and in great shape. The owners/rental service was responsive to all my questions (and I had a lot of questions having never been to DC). They went above and beyond to help me before, during and after the trip!!! The property really does have everything necessary and plenty of extras; hairdryer, nice pillows (enough to trade around to find one you like), fluffy towels and plenty of them, extra supplies such as tp were easy to locate, and internet access which was very appreciated.
The property gave us a lot more space than had we stayed at a hotel and was definitely a better price.
We did shop at the Safeway (one metro stop north) and carted food back on the metro; as for nearby restaurants, Union Station is ONE short stop (south) from the metro station near the property and it had some of the best eats that we had in DC (reasonably priced--I recommend "Great Wraps" if you're in need of sandwiches and Burritos at Burrito Brothers are Heartily recommended! There's a few breakfast places also, at least one of which serves a full breakfast; donut and pastry shops as well.)
The walk to the metro is between a 1/4 and 1/2 mile, very doable.
Our stay was April 2008.

This home surpassed our expectations! The décor was beautiful, the furnishings were very comfortable and it seemed that our every need was anticipated prior to our arrival. The sleigh bed in the master bedroom was to die for in both looks and comfort. The kitchen was fully equipped. The neighborhood seems to in the process of revitalization but we had no problems. My son visited us there over the 1st weekend so we were able to use his car to get groceries at a Safeway off of Rhode Island I believe. The rest of the time we used the Metro (subway) to get around. The property manager/owners were very helpful and great to work with. I would certainly stay in this home on future visits to DC!

This is the perfect home away from home. We attended a graduation and had a family gathering all in one May 2007 We were able to have home cooked meals (kitchen is FULLY equipped!!) and more importantly it is kid friendly. I highly recommended it.

My husband & I & 2 teenagers stayed @ 25 Quincy Place for our Spring Break vacation in March 2007. The house was set up perfectly for such a situation. Both boys had their own room & shared a bathroom. The master bedroom was very private w/its own bathroom. The furnishings, fixtures & art work were top notch. We also enjoyed the back patio w/fire pit. The neighborhood is still transitioning, but we had no problems, all the people we came into contact with in the neighborhood were very nice & helpful. The only incovenience for us was no access w/in walking distance to a grocery store. The store at the end of the street (that is mentioned in owners description) was so dirty & seedy we would not go there. However, having 2 teenage boys w/us made it easy for us to carry groceries from Whole Foods near Dupont Circle onto the subway & back to Quincy Place. All in all our stay @ Quincy was comfortable. The owners & property manager were helpful & interested that we have the best possible experience.

My husband and I and our 3 kids stayed here for a week during summer of 2005. It was wonderful. Beautifully decorated and clean. Within walking distance of a metro station which is the only transportation we used. Would highly recommend to anyone. Would certainly return. Owner was easy to deal with and very accomodating and reassuring as it was our first experience with a rental property.
