My wife and I spent a week at Barlovento 105 in Puerto Aventuras in March 2011. The location is excellent as Playa del Carmen(5th Avenue/restaurants/etc.) is 15 min. to the north yet the ruins at Tulum - or for that matter, Coba - are only a short distance south. We especially enjoyed snorkeling in the lagoon at Yal Ku and in Akumal bay where loggerhead turtles grazed on the sea grass just off the beach - both nearby. I was particularly interested in exploring Cenotes and there are several very close to P.A.: I highly recommend Cenotes Azul, Dos Ojos, and Labna Ha. At Discovery World in P.A. there are dolphins, rays and manatees. We especially enjoyed watching the attendants feed the manatees while giving them a vet check in the morning. The accommodation - especially the pool and the patio where we breakfasted each day - was wonderful. I have no difficulty recommending this rental to anyone: it would be difficult to find accommodation as reasonable and as comfortable anywhere on the Mayan Riviera.

We spent a week at this condo and found it perfect for our family. So close to the beach and the pool, lots of room for my wife and I and three children. The town of PA was very child friendly and very safe. The condo itself was clean, well maintained and everything was as advertised. The local golf course was very challenging and I found it a higher calibre than expected. Close to Tulum, Xcaret, Xel Ha, Akamal (nice place to take kids snorkelling). Will stay longer next time!

My wife and I spent a week at 105 Barlovento. Even from the start the condo owner (Ray) was as helpful as one could hope to expect. No enquiry was to frivilous. The owner's reponses to our questions and concerns were answered immediately. He even left a cell phone on at the condo with his direct number and the condo managers number at the ready if there were any problems. There were none. The pictures do not do the property justice. As many have said the condo has a great open concept and the view is stunning. We really appreciated the palm trees in the yard for additonal shade for those hot, hot Mexican days. The appliances are modern and in good working order. (Note: I would buy the groceries in Playa Del Carmen as the mini mart in P.A., does not stock goods beyond the basics. P.A is a unique community to say the least. I lke the mixture of vacationers and residents as the residents are very helpful with directions. Puerto Adventuras is very, very large. You will especially love the marina and the vast choices for restaurants and bars that they offer. I cannot say enough for 105 Barlovento and strongly recommend this property.

My family and I have traveled all over the world and we have yet to visit another location as family friendly as PA. Even the dolphins are friendly, waving to my children everytime we ventured around the discovery center. This is an ideal spot for anyone looking for a safe and fun vacation. I felt comfortable taking my children here as a single mom because of the safety of it being in a gated community. Even the locals were wonderful, offering me a golf cart ride back to my car when my younger son fell asleep while watching the "fire dance" at dinner! There is every comfort available from child friendly restaurants to internet cafes. We will definately remember our vacation to PA for years to come and plan on booking another vacation here in the near future.

We had a fantastic vacation in Puerto Aventuras and really enjoyed the condo. It was very quiet, safe, and comfortable. We loved the open feeling of the condo and the doors that opened to the outside. We spend much time on the terrace, in the pool and lounging near the water. The accommodations were great. We'd definitely recommend this to those wanting a relaxing vacation.

We had a wonderful time in Puerto Aventuras and the surrounding areas. The neighbors in this condo complex and throughout the town were very friendly and the area was nice. We felt like we had the place to ourselves and there was rarely anyone in the pool. The pool was kept clean daily. The condo itself was comfortable and we loved opening the doorwall to the outside. This was a perfect family area, but not a place for night life or partying. We loved the cenote and lagoon hidden way back behind all of the new construction near the entrance to PA. The dolphin discovery was wonderful.
