Materials are recycled from 139 year-old grist mill located in Chatam, Virginia, the 131 year-old Reedy Fork Mill formerly outside the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area, and barn of unknown age and origin.
Living room, dining room, and kitchen floors are hardwood (an area rug covers almost all of living room); all halls and bedrooms are carpeted with 62 oz carpet over 8 lb pad; all bath floors are ceramic tiled in this Beech Mountain vacation rental.
Large living room with over-sized wood burning fireplace (firewood provided). Dining room is 10' x 35' and seats 32 at one sitting. Wood deck is 18' x 18' with perimeter bench seating and oversized Jenn-Air gas grill. Ten bedrooms contain 20 full-size beds and three adult-size bunk beds. Also has two sofa beds and a single rollaway bed.
TV room of this Beech Mountain vacation home has 36 widescreen Sony TV with VCR/DVD player and surround sound system as well as a queen-size sleeper sofa and may be used as eleventh bedroom. Third floor hallway has foyer with large window seat, sofa, and 32 TV with VCR and DVD/VCR player.
Parking for up to eleven vehicles. Sorry, but No Pets Permitted.

Private Beech Mountain Club guest privileges with (heated) Olympic pool in summertime, 18-hole golf course with views of three states, tennis courts, activities, etc. - fees apply). Thirty-five minutes from the Lodge is Linville Falls, which is a half mile hike to a breathtaking view of the falls. There are numerous other trails on Beech Mountain itself just a short hike from the Lodge and many more in the immediate area. Boating, kayaking, rafting and canoeing are also nearby. Twenty-five miles from the Lodge is the town of Boone which has movie theaters, bowling, etc. For shoppers in your group, thirty miles away is the town of Blowing Rock which has an upscale outlet mall. Even closer is a shopping center called The Great Train Robbery in Banner Elk at the base of Beech Mountain, which has everything from refrigerator magnets to high-end antique furniture.
