We stayed at the Blue Moon for a long weekend with friends, so we booked both rooms, and we loved the place! It's a perfect choice in regards to rooms: well-appointed, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated with personal touch, very comfortable. The 2-room suite has a private sitting room perfect for friends to chill & chat. breakfast: opulent, healthy, fresh ingredients, just lekker!!! location: close to everything (opposite the Rijksmuseum, 10 min walk to Leidseplein), but far enough from the bustle. If in need for an extremely quiet room, ask for the room located in the back, facing a small canal / gracht. The other 2-room suite faces the street. Though there is some street noise, you will still have a quiet sleep. Easy access to public transport (bus, tram, canal boat). Taufik, the host: hospitable, thoughtful, pro-active, helpful, reliable, makes you feel at home in a second We definitely recommend the Blue Moon, though risking to find it fully booked when we go to Amsterdam next time. It's great value for money, and can fully compete with the comfort of a hotel, while it's much more personal.

I stayed for 3 nights at the Blue Moon B&B in early May and enjoyed my experience so much I felt it important to write a review and share this hidden gem with you. I have stayed in many B&B’s over the years, across the world, so kind of know what to expect. Walking into the Blue Moon confused me, as it wasn’t like the other B&B’s I had stayed in. My room could match that of any superior hotel room, the difference being that the rooms have individual character and have obviously been well thought out and designed by Taufik, the host. I loved the welcome I got and the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble. I also liked the location – you couldn’t get more central! Also, a great breakfast which you’ve got to try! Really, if you plan to visit Amsterdam then you have to look at the Blue Moon as your accommodation option – beats a hotel environment any day!!

My husband and I stayed at Taufik's B&B for 3 nights in May. We cannot say anything bad about Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast! - Taufik always quickly responded to our various questions prior to our stay - He helped us with the luggage up the multiple floors of his canal house (this place is not for people that have issues with steep stairs) - The room was incredibly spacious! A lot bigger than another canal house we have stayed in - Wish we were able to utilize the deck. Looked lovely, but we were always out enjoying the town - Location is great - you can walk most everywhere, plus there is a tram stop 2 or so blocks away Taufik was so helpful offering us suggestions for Indonesian food, etc. He even let us borrow his cell when we needed to get in touch with the car rental service. You should really consider this B&B! Thanks Taufik!

My fiancé' and I stayed at the Blue Moon for four nights and had a wonderful time. The location was great, just across the street from the RIJKSMUSEUM which we viewed from our window. Also across the street was one of the many canals with water taxis, boat rentals and boat tours. We took advantage of two boat tours to see the city, one during the day and one at night, both were excellent. Our Blue Moon host, Taufik took care of our every need from a beautiful breakfast served in our room each morning, to information about what to see and do, and even helped us with dinner reservations and reservations for massages at the studio located right next door. Our room was very nice and included a sitting area, silk bed linens, flat panel TV, small refrigerator, great bathroom and there is even a rooftop deck for all to enjoy with a beautiful canal view. This is a small B&B with just two rooms for rent but the service and accommodations were excellent and made our stay both enjoyable and memorable plus I think it was a great value. I would highly recommend the Blue Moon and will definitely stay again if I ever get back to Amsterdam and it is available.

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Moon in Amsterdam very much. We had the room with the canal view which was very nice and quiet. Our host, Taufik, was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed some advice. As we stayed 3 nights we got to enjoy a free massage which was very relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

A fantastic base for your stay in Amsterdam! Great location with superior accommodation and unique bedrooms.Fantastic en-suite bathrooms! Lots of personal touches with an extremely friendly and helpful service provided by our host, Taufik! Breakfast is the best I have experienced in a B&B and the added bonus of the roof garden was very pleasing. This B&B has been well thought through and we felt very at home. If you want your visit to Amsterdam to be a memorable one then choose the Blue Moon B&B as your base! Highly recommended!!
