Description
St Simons Island Cottages
Located just down the street from the beach, this classic 1940's Island Cottage Home was completely renovated in the summer of 2005. Everyone who has stayed here raves about the elegant island decor and the incredibly comfortable beds!
This St Simons Island Rental (2 Bedroom, 1.5 bathroom) home is located just 4 blocks from
Mallory Park and the Village and Pier Area on St. Simons, which boasts wonderful pubs, restaurants, two parks, beach access and a public pool, along with tennis courts and a GREAT little library. Walk to the Village or Pier, instead of having to park, for a drink in the evening or a cup of coffee in the morning. This is especially handy for big events where parking is at a premium, such as music at the lighthouse, festivals, art shows and the fireworks during the 4th of July!
The Pool - It might be the only public pool located right on the water on this coast! It is located right next to the lighhouse and is absolutely beautiful (the pride of St. Simons). Swim lessons are offered in the summertime and lots of locals gather here. Parents can visit the library, the shops or just take a walk while the kids swim. Big kids can ride down by themselves to join their friends!
The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and has easy access to the many bicycle and walking paths that St. Simons Island has to offer.
Glassed-in back porch leads to a deck overlooking a large fenced-in back yard with brick patio. Complete with an outdoor shower, this cottage is the perfect place for entertaining. The large back yard, complete with swingset, teak furniture and a deck table and chairs with umbrella, allows the kids and dogs a good place to run while you grill locally caught fish on the large gas grill (gas included for up to week-long stays). All the neighbors are great and we take care to ensure that our guests feel at home and respect the folks that live here permanently.
