La Casa dei Gessi is a family-run bed-and-breakfast.
The proprietors: Paolo, his wife, two children and Winnie (a Maremma sheepdog) have lived at La Casa dei Gessi for seven years and during that time they have completely renovated their substantial house to a very high standard. The guest accommodation is very comfortable and the rooms are of a generous size, sleeping two comfortably and each with its own en-suite bathroom.
The house was built in the 1800's.

La Casa dei Gessi is located just within the boundaries of the Parco dei Gessi to the south-east of Bologna in the village of Monte Calvo, a mere 15 minute journey by car from central Bologna. The village itself is peaceful and tranquil; it has a fine church, wonderful views and easy access to the park and its walks and attractions.,
