Ravenrock is a beautiful log home located at Leatherwood Mountains, an equestrian resort well known to horse lovers in North Carolina and around the country. Leatherwood Mountains is near Boone, Blowing Rock and the world-famous Blue Ridge Parkway. Leatherwood is also about 30-minutes from Lenoir and Wilkesboro.

Ravenrock is uniquely built with gray hand-hewn hemlock logs and old fashioned chinking. The house is topped off with a blue metal roof that reminds us of the Carolina blue sky. Large windows and vaulted ceiling create a spacious interior living space that brings the lush mountain view inside.

The living area is finished with hand-planed hemlock logs and Australian cypress hardwood floors. Prepare a gourmet meal in the well-equipped kitchen complete with gas cook-top and double ovens. The kitchen is decorated with Silestone countertops, stainless steel appliances and natural pine cabinets.

Up the wormy maple stairs, indulge yourself in the luxurious master suite with vaulted ceiling and a two-person Jacuzzi whirlpool tub. (Master suite also has a shower.) All three Ravenrock bedrooms as well as the loft with its futon are equipped with ceiling fans. The house has a full bath on each of its three levels. The main floor has a standard shower tub and the lower level bathroom has a two-seat shower.

The wraparound front porch and deck give a rocking chair view of Chestnut Mountain and the Raven Rocks for which the home is named. The porch is equipped with ceiling fans to enhance the natural mountain breeze. The separate hot tub deck also affords a wonderful mountain view, yet is very secluded and private. On the lower level beside a beautiful rock wall is a porch swing ideal for snuggling while watching the sun settle below the mountains.

For a family getaway or a romantic retreat, Ravenrock is a beautiful choice. You can always hope for a rainy night so the metal roof can lull you to sleep.

A pool table and sitting area with wood-burning stove are located in the lower level.
