After a wonderful traditional German breakfast or a day of exploring, guests can retreat to one of the inn's eight rooms: three are in the main chalet and five are in the nearby cabins and cottages.

In the main house are the Salzburg and Deutschland rooms with balconies, and the Swiss room with a view of the gardens and mountains.

In a cottage next to the main house are the Austria and Italy fully-equipped two-room suites with kitchenettes. Nearby log cabins are also fully-equipped and offer extra privacy: the Bluebird Cabin, and the larger cabin with the Edelweiss suite upstairs (also known as our honeymoon suite) and the Chickadee studio downstairs. The cottage and the cabins have porches, decks, balconies or patios.

All of our guest rooms are spacious and comfortably accommodate two people. Along with overnight lodging, guests in the Main Building & Suites will be treated to our lavish German breakfast. Breakfast is available to our Log Cabin guests and Studio with prior arrangement at an additional charge. Free wireless High Speed Internet access available from all rooms.

Whether enjoying a guest room in the main house or staying in one of the cabins, all of our guests enjoy the bed and breakfast amenities including our deluxe breakfast in the main dining room. For a complete vacation package, the cabins also can be rented for an extended stay at a lower rate (excluding the full breakfast).

Gaestehaus Salzburg Bed and Breakfast and Restaurant is located in Hickory Nut Gorge, one of the most beautiful canyons in the Eastern United States. The Gorge is about 14 miles long, and extends from the small villages of Gerton through Bat Cave and Chimney Rock to Lake Lure. The rushing Rocky Broad River flows through the Gorge and empties into the crystal waters of the lake.

Just a short drive away are two championship 18-hole golf courses as well as the 9-hole Lake Lure municipal golf course. Nearby are the scenic attractions of Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure Tours, Marina and Beach.

Also in the Gorge are horseback riding, rafting, biking, shopping in quaint shops, good restaurants, and enjoying the lake activities.

Asheville, the Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway are about a 45 minute drive from Gaestehaus Salzburg. Hendersonville, with shopping, movies and the Flat Rock Playhouse, is about 35-40 minutes away.
