Private, internally patrolled, 33 acre island in the middle of the intracoastal. Only a short bike ride (four blocks), to one of the most beautiful beaches on the East coast, (certainly the least crowded) and renowned for its surfing, and within walking distance to both the sleepy mainland village as well as beach-side's small township where you will find music and dancing overlooking the intracoastal waterway, ice cream and boutique shopping (not the overdone upscale type - strictly local offerings!)

Peter and I traveled the length and breadth of Florida and decided on New Smyrna Beach for many reasons -certainly it's unearthly, untouched beauty but also it is small town feeling and the somewhat unique direct outlet to the ocean from the intracoastal here. As a guest on our New Smyrna Beach vacation rental and a close friend or family you have the use of our boat if Peter OK's you or a place to put your boat - If you decide to stay in our New Smyrna Beach vacation rental you'll definitely have access to two heated pools, a hot tub, a clubhouse where you can go to use the library or even throw a party, a new workout center which I must confess I have not been to yet, a putt and chip 18 hole golf course which other people (golfers), seem to enjoy - although I am not a golfer myself, and a lighted tennis court! The community also has its own private marina, a 3200 foot river walk, and shuffle board courts. If it's your thing you can enjoy the races and bike weeks and still be able to get away from the crowds if you want to. The secret special place here is an incredible wildlife preserve, national park where you can walk for a few miles on the beach and dunes or put your boat in the intracoastal and anchor off shore and picnic there. So nice!
