Villa Sofia is located in an attractive villa-park, about an hour's drive along the coast from Faro Airport. Although the property is set in a quiet and peaceful area, the nearest resort town is Portimao (7 mins) which boasts a full compliment of shopping and entertainment facilities. We are also within easy reach of several beautiful beaches including perhaps the most famous along the Algarvean coast at Praia da Rocha with its interesting rock formations, casino and it's selection of friendly bars and restaurants.

A spacious open-plan living room with marble flooring, and also has satellite television with BBC channels. Fireplace. Radio-Cassette player. Ample tourist information and reading material available.
3 Spacious bedrooms - One double and two twin-bedded, all of which open out onto the pool area.
3 Fully tiled bathrooms - Two being ensuite (All with bath, shower, toilet, bidet and handbasin).
(Cot and High Chair available if required).
A well equipped fully fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, and a breakfast area seating 6 people.
Private swimming pool (9.5m x 4.5m) with large surrounding terrace. Purpose bulit BBQ for dining around the pool. Ample pool furniture - sunbeds, tables, chairs and parasols.
Also large roof terrace ideal for sunbathing.
Maid service is available twice a week, and we also have an English speaking Villa Manager.

The villa is a short drive to several beaches at Alvor, Praia da Rocha, Praia da Vau, Ferragudo and Maia Praia.
The Algarve is known as a paradise for the golfing enthusiast. The Penina, which is located only 3 km away from the villa, has 3 courses to choose from. Other courses within a 15 minute drive include the Alto Club, Palmares, Morgado, Gramacho and the Pinta Course near Carvoeiro. Infact there are some 20 courses thoughtout the region.
The nearby coastal town of Portimao is an important commercial centre with its abundance of local shops, restaurants, and cafes, not to mention it's local fish and vegetable markets. There are also 4 large supermarkets all providing an interesting and varied choice of foodstuffs.
Praia da Rocha has an excellent selection of bars and resaurants. This area is fairly lively in the evenings, and is an ideal place for couples and familes alike. There are night -clubs for late-birds and teenagers, and taxis are easy to pick up at anytime during the night.

Every watersport imaginable is available for those who wish a more active holiday from scuba-diving
