Inselhaus is one of Macomb’s finest examples of houses built at the turn of the century. It was built by Frank Blount in 1901. Later Ira O’Hara, one of Macomb’s prominent citizens, owned and lived in the house with his family. In October 2002, Karl and Dorothee Gossel bought the house with the interest of welcoming visitors to the area and preserving a piece of Macomb’s history.
