Little Gasparilla Island is named after an 18th Century Pirate "Jose Gaspar" who is alleged to have buried his treasure somewhere on the island. The island is "old Florida," a beautiful natural Gulf of Mexico barrier island with native coconut trees, pristine beaches, and emerald green water. This area of Florida is renowned for its hospitality and natural beauty. The Bush family (current president of the United States) makes their winter vacation home here along with many others. We are right next to Boca Grande and Sanibel Islands.

Guests take a ten-minute ride to the island across Placida Bay on our exclusive ferry boat. We have world-class fishing, boating, and shelling. I have traveled all around the Caribbean and have yet to see a more beautiful or pristine island. Via the ferry, you are minutes from restaurants, golf, shopping, etc. Major theme parks such as Disney World are only a few hours away.

Some of the wildlife you will see include Florida manatees, bald eagles, osprey (bird of prey), dolphins, and Loggerhead sea turtles. Popular fishing includes tarpon, snook, redfish, grouper, king fish, trout, and shark.
