Hau'ula Hillside Hideaway is a stately, ten-bedroom Hawaiian country home nestled in the Koolau Mountain foothills on the Windward side of Oahu. This lovely two-acre estate offers the simple pleasures of a traditional, Hawaiian-style, country vacation…serenity, bird-watching, star-gazing, relaxing around the koi pond and enjoying fresh fruit from the banana, papaya and large old mango trees that grow on the land. The private guest suite includes two bedrooms, large country kitchen, dining room with french doors to a moss-rock wall and covered lanai, a full bathroom with a shower and washer/dryer, and a spacious outdoor lanai overlooking the Pacific ocean, a magical Koi Pond and waterfall. The living room overlooks the terracotta lanai and koi pond. The unit is airconditioned and all rooms have ceiling fans to keep the cool breezes flowing even on the warmest days. The suite has been newly remodeled and is furnished with a comfortable twill, slip-covered sofa and huge leather chairs. The guest suite has a private entrance, it's own yard, gardens and parking area. The home is owner-occupied, so we can assist, as your ohana (family) to ensure that this vacation is your very best! World-famous surfing at Sunset and Pipeline Beaches is only 20 minutes away. Excellent hikes, such as Hauula Loop and the Makapuu Ridge trailheads, are only a 5 minute walk. Spend the day at the Kualoa Ranch 15 minutes away. This 4,000 acre cattle ranch offers horseback riding, ATV rides, visits to Jurassic Park movie set, ancient fish ponds, WWII bunkers and historical exhibits.
