Quinta da Floresta is a perfect place to escape from the busy city and relax. I practically ived in the hammock in the sun room.... It's such a peaceful place, with so many interesting things to do in Paraty and nearby. My favorite place in Brasil...I highly recommend it!

The most beautiful location and the most welcoming hosts you could wish for. It was the first place we stayed in our trip round Brazil, and the perfect start to our holiday. Esther speaks excellent English, which is great if your Portuguese is a little lacking as ours was! She also makes absolutely delicious breakfasts, and both Esther and Ze have great local knowledge. They took us on some great nights out in Paraty, and on beautiful walks through the forest from their house to the various local waterfalls. But if all you want to do is relax, you can spend your time reading in a hammock and listening to the birds, or watching the fireflies at night drinking a caiprinha, expertly mixed by Ze. I can't recommend this place enough - it was excellent.
