The main attraction for the cottage is the Shuswap River which can be viewed from the loft. This river is a clear warm river that can be rafted/kayaked/canoed/swam/etc. There are some extreme rapids upstream for those adreneline seekers, and gentler waters downstream for those who like a calm float down a salmon river. There is a small road which circles around the immediate area for early morning walks, biking, etc. The river is a Salmon River with a large salmon run each year in the fall. The environmental interprative center has been constructed and based on this resource.( 1 km +/- away). Other facilities include a Golf course with club house/restaurant, the Mable Lake resort area, Hunters Range for snowmobiles, etc.
