Now this is what a vacation should be! I can’t tell you how much I loved coming to Villa Medehyah and how sad I was to have to leave. My husband and were badly in need of a place where we could relax and reconnect with each other and this was perfect! The villa is so quiet and peaceful; we would wake in the mornings and go to the private beach and be the only ones there, and then return for a sumptuous breakfast that included the best fresh tropical fruit that I have ever eaten. The rest of our day was ours to do with as we wanted. Ocho Rios had wonderful outdoor markets, and you can’t go to Jamaica without climbing Dunn’s River Falls! Many days we just hung out at the beach snorkeling or enjoying the shade of the almond trees. I like to horseback and one of the amenities of the villa is that you can be picked up at your door by the local horsemaster and really see the countryside as you travel through the small hillside towns; the best part was running the horses through the ocean at the end of the ride. Each night we closed the day with a fantastic authentic Caribbean dinner prepared on site by the staff then lounged by the pool under the starriest sky ever. The staff of Villa Medehyah was so wonderful, we had so much privacy but if we needed something they would magically appear. This was by far the best vacation we have ever had, if you want a vacation that will truly let you escape from it all and o relax in the beauty of the Caribbean then this is the place for you!
