In addition to the obvious multitude of options one has in Paris, there is something very special about this neighborhood or Quarter exemplified by this comment.We've had an enjoyable year in Paris with many guests enjoying the wonders of Paris, the village like atmosphere in the Quarter Montorgueil and generally experiencing the look and feel of what the great cities of the future will be like. Yes, way less cars, streets and sidewalks designed for people, instead of the internal combustion engine, and a real community of people enjoying open air markets, cafes and restaurants. As you may know, by 2012 the first 4 quarters of Paris will like the Quarter Montorgueil That is, they will be closed to cars and restricted to taxis, buses, streetcars (they are on the drawing board!) and the vehicles of residents only.
