... a large kitchen and dining area with a big family table. There is plenty of rustic appeal with the hickory hardwood floors, leather furniture, wood stove, and classic outdoor art. There are 3 bedrooms plus a den with a futon couch, to sleep 10 in beds (cots available)also the basement is now finished for 06' with a family room and a queen futon. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are beautifully furnished with dormer window seats for you to read or relax in.
The cabin is located next to the Dixie national forest with miles of hikiing and biking trails to explore. There is trout fishing at nearby Navajo lake, Mammoth Creek, Duck Creek and the Sevier River. Horseback riding is available on the mountain. We have a fire-pit with log seating for evening campfires with firewood provided. The night sky is awesome for star gazing. The scenic wonders of BRYCE & ZION National Parks are 30 minutes away and the Grand Canyons north rim is 2+ hours away. The cabin is also just 37 miles to Cedar City, 92 miles to St. George and 205 miles to Las Vegas. There is a International Airport in Las Vegas & Salt Lake City, also Cedar City has a regional airport. Interstate Highway 15 links both Salt Lake & Vegas with an exit at Cedar City then it is 30 minutes up the mountain to the cabin along scenic highway 14.
We are Now Open for winter stays as we have paved access to the cabin. We also have great access to CC skiing, snowmobile trails and a great sledding hill on the property with a wood stove waiting for you to warm up with.
We built Elk Tracks cabin in this part of Utah because of all the outdoor opportunities that we can enjoy but, mostly to get away and enjoy them together as a family. We hope to see you and your family here!
