COBBLESCOTE is a gracious circa 1915 waterfront villa situated on the western shore of beautiful Otsego Lake. We have operated a family oriented Inn here since 1984. The architectural style is Dutch Colonial. ...new and very large eat in kitchen with a fantastic view of the lake. The greatest feature of the house is the thousand square foot deck which offers breathtaking views of the lake and the beautiful mountain forest towering above the lakes east shore.Cobblescote enjoys the warmth of the summer sunrise and the cool of the afternoon shade as the sun slips below the west mountain by mid afternoon. There is almost always a cool breeze from the lake. More often than not, guests here sleep with blankets most of the summer. Every guest room has a private bath. All guest rooms and baths were refurbished this year with new bedding, window treatments, furniture, carpet etc.
There are two spacious carriage house suites both with kitchens, private bath and private entrance. The two carriage house units each have two queen beds, . and they rent for $245 nightly plus tax.
The main lodge offers two two-room suites with private bath. The 2-room suites have a queen bed in the entry room and two twin beds in the adjoining room. The two--room suites rent for $195 through June and $245 from July 1sr to Sept 1st per night plus tax.
There are also two suites each with a queen bed and private bath. (also new this year) that rent for $155 per night plus tax.
Weekly rates for any of the above reflect ONE FREE NIGHT with seven
There is a waterfront area with a dock and picnic area. We have a pedal boat and a Kayak which our guests are free to use. We have the most splendid view of any property on the lake. A full country breakfast is served to our nightly guests on the front deck of the main lodge overlooking the lake.

The converted carriage house suites are located on a five acre estate on the western shore of beautiful Otsego Lake. A canoe and pedal boat are available for your use. The setting is secluded and private. It is a wonderful retreat for relaxation and peaceful sleep! The private beach is available for guests recreational use. You can swim, fish and picnic there. What a wonderful weekend at Cobblescote. We felt so at home we thought we should help with the dishes! Homemade breakfast was a treat, especially when combined with the very peaceful view of the lake. We enjoyed a delicious dinner one evening, and a horrendous rain storm only added to the fun. My Husband and I stayed at Cobblescote for the Hall of Fame Induction Weekend..We had a very pleasant stay. Peter, Bobbie and Clayton were very friendly and made us feel at home during our stay..Nothing compares to a delicious breakfast on the deck overlooking Lake Otsego. The view is tremendous..We had never stayed at a B&B, so we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was..Cobblescote even offers a nightly dinner menu that compares to a fine restauant! We were happy to just chill on the deck and enjoy our delicious meal..Cobblescote is conveniently located to downtown Cooperstown .

What a treat to escape to Cobblescote!! Our first trip to the area and we instantly fell in love with this place!! Not only did the accomodations exceed our expectations, but getting to know Peter was the best part! He knows this area so well and is a gracious and generous host. Even our kids didn't want to leave the lakeside getaway! Plus the view from our front window...PRICELESS!! We can't wait to return!

My wife and I stayed at Cobblescote in June 2009. We travel some but have never stayed in a B & B before. We were not sure what to expect. We enjoyed everything about it. The accomodations were very nice, the food was great and and the setting was beautiful. Peter and the others there make you feel at home and are very accomodating. I enjoyed visiting with them.

After returning home to Savannah, I felt a strong need to tell others how enjoyable my week at Cobblescote Lake Resort was in every way, the food, the lodging, the location and the host Peter Bissell. Good food, good place means good time and you will have just that. I was there the second week of June of 2009 and if ever again I find a path to Cooperstown, I will be staying at Cobblescote.

What a great B & B! The carriage house was fantastic, complete with a full kitchen and beautiful deck overlooking the lake. The view is magnificent, as is the hospitality. Truly a gem of a find if you are looking for a cozy place to relax and unwind. Great access to swimming & lake activities. Cobblescote earns an A++. We plan on returning.

Whether your looking for a vacation rental or bed and breakfast this is a perfect stay! Very clean and close to the Hall of Fame. A short ride to the ferry that will take you to downtown so you do not have to worry about parking. An absolutly beautiful view of the lake with access to the lake. We stayed for a weekend and loved it.
