Bald Mountain has 3000 vertical feet of downhill skiing and snowboarding! If Bald Mountain is a little intimidating, guests can utilize the beginner slopes at Dollar Mountain just a short walk away! The kids ski camp and daily drop-in baby camp is located at Dollar.

We love to go back country skiing, sledding and tubing on the hills right behind the Sun Valley vacation house. ENJOY!

My wife and I and another couple plus three kids and a nanny spent a week here in February. Getting back to work was harder than anything I've ever done! We simply relaxed on a deeper level than seems possible. The house has an indoor pool which we swam in every day. The kids loved it. We also enjoyed laps between the outdoor hot tub and the pool. The owners left snow shoes for us and we snow shoed and xctry skied out the back door on the groomed track. Full moon night ski's to the head of the valley took a little over an hour and were quiet and peaceful under the starry sky. We skied on baldy a few days and skied with the kids at dollar. Dollar day care and ski schools are expert kid hosts. Kids ski and ice skate and tube. Naps and meals and entertainment are included for a pretty reasonable daily rate. One night we all rode the horse drawn sleigh to Trail Creek Cabin for dinner. Our three year old sang jingle bells as we sat covered in blankets bouncing along behind the team of draft horses pulling a sled with 20 people on board. We enjoyed some of Ketchums famous night life. Things come alive about 10:30 PM at several nightspots like the Pioneer. It was fun to dance again and return to our quiet home for a late morning wake up! If you have the chance to stay at this home, do it. The family room closes off for a kids retreat during the day and a screening room for movies at night. The kitchen is well equipped and the house had table extensions for as many as 18 guests. Beds had high thread count sheets and cozy comforters. Living room features a grand piano where our nanny entertained us with Gershwin.
