The beach of Pounta, which is just 650m from the property stretches for 15km ending in the town of Neapoli. It is excellent for swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing and kite boarding. The sea is almost always calm. The beautiful island of Elafonisos is just a fifteen minute ferry ride from Viglafia. Elafonisos has one of the finest beaches in Europe and makes a wonderful and extremely easy daytrip. The small village on the island is very cosmopolitan and has a number of fine seafood restaurants to eat at. The Byzantine stronghold of Monemvasia is just a thirty minute drive from the Peloponnisos vacation rental property. Hidden from below, a whole city waits to be explored and marveled at.
