For people with nature in their hearts. Casa de Playa is nestled in an enchanted, natural oceanfront setting in Vieques Puerto Rico. This newly-renovated Vieques vacation rental has two furnished bedrooms, one bathroom, an outside shower, and a laundry room. We offer our guests internet service, a bit of A/C with lighted ceiling fans, and a private land line.
Our chef-kitchen is well-stocked and fun to use, and the dining, lounge and playroom area are well-furnished, bright and beautiful. We also offer a standard sized crib and small stroller for families. A wonderful covered patio faces the mysterious ocean and fanciful beach where free-ranging horses come to roll in the sand after drinking and bathing in the Laguna.
This beachfront Vieques property offers gorgeous water views and is teeming with birds and wildlife. Who knows, a turtle may visit you while you swim in the warm waters, or a Caribbean egret may join you for breakfast.
In the distance is the island of Culebra, where the lights come on as the sun sets. At that lovely time, the birds begin to gossip and the coquis to sing-- you may even wish to join in. Visit Casa de Playa and enjoy multitudes of birds, iguanas, fish, landcrabs, coquis, anoles, friendly people and peace.

We just spent Christmas week at Casa de Playa. It was our first trip to Vieques but will not be our last. We selected it for it's quint Caribbean vibe without all the tourist traffic of the more famous sister islands. We visited the Bio Bay, the lighthouse, shopped the Esperanza Malacon, the old fort in Isabel II, explored the white sand beaches by day and rested with balmy breezes at la casa by nite. The beaches are everywhere and they rival world famous Calebra Flemingo Bay or Kona Coast Hawaii. Casa de Playa sits on secured private grounds with fresh water lagoon and only 20 yards from the rolling tide. The front porch faces the ocean for perfect spot to finish your day. The ferry ride or short flight in from Puerto Rico is possibly the only thing keeping Vieques a best kept secret. Sssshhhhh ....wisper the name softly Vieques is well worth the effort to get there. Thanks for your hospitality Judith, we are planning a return.

Casa de Playa pulls at your heart strings and beckons you back to the quint island village like no other place on earth. We selected Vieques for it's lesser traveled roads and Caribbean flavor above the more famous sister islands. We were not disappointed and spent a week exploring by day and relaxing by evening balmy breezes. The Bio Bay is amazing and the beaches are the best of all the islands that we've traveled. They are pristine, plentiful and the azure blue rivals Calabra's Flemingo Beach without the tourist traffic. The ferry or flight in to Vieques is possibly the only thing keeping it a best kept secret.......sssshhhhh. Wisper the name Vieques softly. It is a special place like no other and Casa de Playa sits proudly only steps away from the rolling tide. We are going back again soon.

We completely enjoyed our time at casa de Playa--Thank you Judith! The place was clean and comfortable and we so enjoyed cooking and eating on the porch. I was surprised by how cool it was, those breezes are strong going through, and we could hear the ocean at night. A very relaxing time to catch up on reading and looking for wildlife. We loved the wild horses and the local kids riding them into the water.
