Description & Details of Page Springs Bed & Breakfast Inn
Page Springs Bed and Breakfast Inn is flexible! We offer a variety of choices to our guests. Enjoy a great Sedona B&B experience, with a delicious and creative breakfast catered each morning, or book an entire 2- or 3-bedroom home for a vacation rental or retreat.

Exclusive use of the entire eight-acre property, known as Rancho Feliz (Happiness Ranch), the expansive lawns, the many large trees including a central weeping willow, the two separate homes, surrounded by national forest, turns the property into a private retreat center or family enclave.

Owners Andrew Bailey and Connie Baxter Marlow, whose photographs and artifacts from indigenous cultures of the world decorate the indigenous-themed rooms, are frequently on hand - when they aren't out in the field filming - to share ideas and experiences with their guests.

This unique Sedona Bed and Breakfast Inn is located just seven miles south of Sedona and five miles from the Red Rock State Park turn-off. Our two expansive homes are nestled at the base of a natural amphitheater below a cluster of ancient Sinagua Indian ruins in the tranquil hamlet of Page Springs. Surrounded by Coconino National Forest, we sit high above Oak Creek, with views of the beautiful high desert countryside all around, and the legendary Red Rocks of Sedona in the distance.

Only minutes from the vibrant heart of Sedona, we are two and a half hours from the Grand Canyon, an hour from Phoenix, and minutes from the bustling town of Cottonwood. Page Springs, Sedona's best kept secret, is rural in character and is reminiscent of the way Sedona used to be. It is the gateway to some of Arizona's finest wine country and close to all the Verde Valley attractions: world-famous ghost town Jerome, Sycamore Canyon, Tuzigoot National Monument, Montezuma's Castle, Palatki and other Sinagua and Anasazi Indian ruins.

Page Springs Bed and Breakfast Inn is an ideal location for a retreat (artist, women's, spiritual, healing, or corporate), featuring sprawling lawns and an immense weeping willow tree whose expansive, undulating branches provide the perfect setting for intimate wedding ceremonies, outdoor workshops, and other special moments. With evergreen trees, blooming roses in season, and gentle winding paths between the houses, we are surrounded by pristine native plants and wildlife, unfolding to the natural marvels of the surrounding mesas. We offer ceramic fire pits on the various patios for warm and cozy pleasure on our cool, crisp Arizona nights, when the ink-black skies make star-gazing memorable.

As filmmakers, photographers and writers, your hosts have spent more than 15 years befriending and documenting indigenous peoples ranging from southern Africa to the jungles of Mexico. We bring distinctive character and ethnic authenticity to our Bed & Breakfast accommodations with names such as Kalahari Room, Maya Suite, Anasazi Suite, Kokopelli-Hopi Suite and Maui Room.

The curious may find insights into the way of life of these indigenous peoples with our photo exhibit Rhythms of Creation, pictorial journals, library and unique collection of ethnic art and artifacts.

Page Springs is Sedona's Wine Country: The wine aficionado will enjoy our peaceful surroundings, the proximity of four world-class wineries, and the unique microclimate that produces these fine wines to tantalize the discerning palate.

Flexible Lodging Options: Book a single room or suite, or an entire two-or three-bedroom house. Book both homes and our entire 8-acre property can be yours to enjoy!

Our two distinctive homes, nestled on 8 peaceful acres, sit at the base of a natural amphitheater with the Red Rocks of Sedona in the distance, and overlook the canyons and valleys carved by meandering Oak Creek below. FEATURED MASSAGE THERAPISTS - HEART OF HEALING - CANDACE & MARC BERINGER---- Marc Beringer, LMT ----Arizona State License # MT-02177P--- Candace Beringer, LMT---Arizona State License # MT-02103PModalities offered:

Swedish Massage - Generally regarded as the most common form of massage, Swedish massage involves a combination of five basic strokes and concentrates on the muscles and connective tissues of the body for improved circulation, relaxation, pain relief, and overall health maintenance and well-being.Deep-Tissue Massage - Deep-tissue massage utilizes slow strokes, direct pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles with the fingers, thumbs or elbows. Deep-tissue massage works deeply into the muscles and connective tissue to release chronic aches and pains; its purpose is to reach the fascia beneath the surface muscles.

Reflexology - This technique is based on a system of points on the hands, feet and ears that correspond, or reflex, to other areas of the body. Similar in theory to acupressure, reflexologists believe that applying appropriate pressure to these points stimulates the flow of energy, thus helping to relieve pain or blockages throughout the entire body. A very pleasurable form of bodywork, reflexology is also used to ease stress and promote relaxation.

Reiki - While not strictly under the auspices of massage, Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is often practiced in conjunction with bodywork. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words - rei, meaning higher power or universal force, and ki, meaning life energy. Loosely translated, Reiki means universal or spiritually-guided life-force energy. Reiki is used as a method of healing illness and reducing stress through light touch or, more commonly, by placing the hands near or above the body in specific positions or patterns. Through these positions, a Reiki practitioner can correct energetic imbalances in the body by removing toxic energy, improving health and restoring a person's energy levels.

Acupressure - Acupressure is an ancient form of healing believed by some to be even older than acupuncture. It involves the use of the fingers (and in some cases, the toes) to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural ability to heal itself. Pressing on these points relieves muscle tension, which promotes the circulation of blood and ai (pronounced chee) -- the vital energy or life force -- to aid in the healing process. Stimulating specific points on the body can trigger the release of endorphins (chemicals produced by the body that relieve pain). When endorphins are released, pain is blocked, and the flow of blood and oxygen to the affected area is increased. This causes the muscles to relax and promotes healing. In acupressure, as with most traditional Chinese medicine concepts, local symptoms are considered an expression of the whole body's condition. When performed correctly, acupressure increases circulation, reduces tension and enables the body to relax. Reducing tension, in turn, strengthens the immune system and promotes wellness.

Aromatherapy - Many essential oils that are derived from plants, herbs, flowers, and roots have beneficial therapeutic qualities. Aromatherapy involves the burning of essential oils to elicit a desired effect; for example, lavender is known to induce calmness and relaxation. When combined with bodywork, aromatherapy can enrich the massage experience immensely. A few drops of essential oil can be added to massage cream or oil and applied to the skin.

CranioSacral - CST - This gentle, hands-on technique involves the craniosacral system -- a system of the body composed of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. CST loosens and releases restrictions or blockages in the body that can contribute to pain and dysfunction; removing such blockages improves the functioning of the central nervous system and body as a whole. CST is effective at treating a number of problems, including pain, headaches, central nervous system disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, stress, tension and more. Proponents of CST also claim that it aids in improving mental clarity and emotional well-being.

Manual Lymph Drainage - The technique consists of light, rhythmic strokes to aid lymph flow and proper fluid circulation, and help stimulate the lymph vessels to ultimately drain toxic fluids from the body.
