There is X-country skiing and snow-shoeing on the Eagle-Vail golf course outside the front door. Adventure Ridge (family outdoor fun area) is on the top of Lionshead area, a five minute drive.

There is ice skating in the village of Beaver Creek, at Adventure Ridge and the Dobson Ice Arena in Vail. The vacation rental unit is close to other quality ski areas.

Copper Mountain is 30 minutes east and Breckenridge and Keystone are an easy 45-minute drive east (all off I-70). Glenwood Springs, with the large hot spring pool, is an hour west of the unit. Aspen and Steamboat Springs are an easy 90 minutes away.
