`Ohi`a Kai Vacation and Short Term Rentals is ideal for vacationers, business visitors, and residents seeking short-term housing, On the property are two separate rentals, the `Ohi`a Kai Cottage at the front of the property and the upstairs of a large house, which we refer to as the `Ohi`a Kai Hale located at the back of the property. . Both units are on a quiet lot, one block from Kuhio Highway, within convenient walking distance of the beach, several churches, and the shopping and dining pleasures of downtown Kapa`a. Lush tropical vegetation, including banana, mango, noni, coconut, bamboo, and panax, surround the property, ensuring shade and privacy. A laundry room with high efficiency Maytag washer and dryer is available on the lower level of the Hale for guests staying at either the Hale or the Cottage. Guests staying one week or longer are greeted with a complimentary gift basket.

Large windows let the beautiful Kaua`i sun into each room.
Amenities include large-screen television with digital cable and DVR, DVD and VCR players, wireless Internet access, fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans with remote in all rooms, towels, sheets, dishes and other kitchenware, iron and ironing board.
`Ohi`a Street is two blocks from downtown Kapa`a and one block from Pono Kai Resort. It faces the parking lot of the LDS church on Kuhio Highway. The church has a blue roof and is located on Kuhio Highway, mountain side. It is approximately nine miles from Lihue Airport, a 20-minute drive at non-peak times.Our rates may vary depending on the time of the year. Some popular visitor destinations and their approximate driving times include to the north Kealia Beach (5 minutes), `Anini Beach (25 minutes), Kilauea Lighthouse (20 minutes), Limahuli National Tropical Garden (55 minutes), Hanelei, 45 minutes, and Ha`ena State Park, at the end of the road, 65 minute drive. Ha`ena is where you will find Ke`e Beach and the trailhead to the spectacular Na Pali Coast trail.
To the south heading toward Lihue, Coconut Marketplace (5 minutes), Lydgate Beach Park (10 minutes), turn right to see `Opaeka`a Falls (15 minutes), when you are back on Kuhio highway heading toward Lihue, turn right to Hanamaulu to see Wailua Falls (30 minutes), the Kukui Grove Mall (22 minutes), or continue on Kuhio Highway to Poipu (30 mins.) Back on the highway see the largest coffee plantation in the USA, Kauai Coffee. At the southwestern end of the road, is Kekaha, a very large and private beach or before you get that far turn right to see Waimea Canyon.
