Built five years ago the house has a layout and comforts which are ideal for families and offers a haven of relaxation with its panoramic views. The main house has two large air conditioned bedrooms. There is a large self contained ground floor two bedroom apartment and a twin bed pool house with full facilities including aircon. The panoramic view from the roof sun terrace is stunning. For your comfort, all beds have mosquito nets.
Django's Castle is a comfortable house built to the most modern standards. Fully insulated and double glazed, it is cool in summer and dry and warm in winter. The south easterly aspect assures a spectacular sun rise. The house has WiFi, digital English satellite TV, a CD player, personal safe and two hair dryers. There is a library of paperback books as well as toys and games for the children. Booking through the owners ensures personal attention to your holiday requirements as well as a welcome whatever time you arrive.
Lagos is a perfect centre for a quality family holiday. The local beaches range from the cosy Praia D'ana to the 4km emptiness of Meia Praia with its family run cafes. The town lies on the river with its wide palm lined promenade, castle, fishing harbor and marina complex. Great effort has been made to preserve the character of this ancient town with its narrow streets and many sidewalk restaurants serving fish from the famous market. Disco's and live music bars provide plenty of life but they are discreet leaving the centre to the artists and street vendors. Portugal is famous for its child friendliness. Your children are welcome everywhere at any time and the streets and beaches are safe. Locally there are many activities including dolphin trips and Zoomarine.
In winter the town is lively and guests can take advantage of the recently opened Municipal pool and gymnasium at the bottom of the road.
ACCOMMODATION :
Built by the artist owner and her architect husband as a comfortable home, the house is very practical for a large family or group holiday. The accommodation sleeps 10/12 in three distinctly separate and private areas.
MAIN FLOOR:
Spacious sitting room: This has panoramic views, a dining area and doors onto the main terrace. It is usual for all meals to be served on the pool level terrace which has a sun awning and beautiful views. The kitchen is adjacent to the terrace and makes this option easy. The SATTV has BBC free to view with Cbeebies. There are plenty of books for adults and children as well as toys and games.
Main kitchen:With a fridge freezer, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, electric toaster, kettle and all crockery, glassware, children's cutlery/crockery and utensils.
Laundry:A separate laundry with an automatic washing machine, sink drainer, iron. Sliding door access to the drying carousel in the rear garden.
Guest toilet accessed from the laundry with a hand basin.
Master bedroom:With a double bed, optional air conditioning, en suite bathroom with corner bath, shower and bidet. Sliding patio doors onto terrace and sea views. Large wardrobes and drawers. A cot and high chair are available.
Bedroom 2:With twin beds, optional air conditioning, en suite shower room with bidet. Sliding doors to terrace and rear garden with country views. Large wardrobes and drawers.
APARTMENT: A stair from the main floor leads down to the ground floor apartment.

It has twin beds, an en suite shower room with shower, toilet and hand basin a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, hob and a table and chairs. Lie in bed with sea views.
WINTER LETSThe main house heats easily with the fan assisted wood fire, reverse cycle air conditioning and bathroom heaters. The apartment has air conditioning/heating and heaters in the bathroom and bedroom. Good deals for long lets and small groups. Make us an offer.

The main sitting room has a wood burning stove and there is air conditioning/heating in all bedrooms and bathrooms, making it very cosy for winter lets and cool for summer lets. The pool (9m x 4m) is solar heated and is on the main floor level and has a safe shallow area for kids and a children's slide. The house is split level with terraces on the main level, including a sun shaded terrace area, and a rear garden. The rear garden has a childrens swing, sand pit and climbing frame. On ground floor level is an old well and sitting area. There is a roof sun terrace with panoramic views and sun beds. The barbecue terrace is between the main house and the pool room and is equipped with a gas BBQ and a hammock. There is a library of paperback books as well as toys and games for the children. Prices quoted are for 10 people.Balance Payment payable 8 weeks prior to arrival, payable by cheque or interbank transfer to UK in pounds sterling or to Portugal in Euros.Air conditioning £20 per room extra payable on arrival. For larger groups there is the option to use a sofa bed in the apartment as well as cots and high chairs at no extra charge. Free pool heating is by means of solar panels and is without charge but weather dependent and normally around 30C during the season.All bookings start on Saturday.
