There is a beautiful walking/biking trail known as Confederation Trail right next door, we are minutes from Tuna Capital of the World, where giant tuna are caught in two seasons, usually around August 1st, for a period of maybe 10 days and again the middle of September for a few days until their quota is caught. We are 8 minutes away from the beautiful beach of Basin Head where there is also a fisheries museum. We are within an hour of 4 beautiful golf courses. You can also go to the very eastern end of the Island to see the tides meet and get a guided tour of East Point Lighthouse which was bulit in 1867. Steps away is a Railway Museum which has a train ride that the children will love, it is a 15 minute ride through the woods, also a small wooden train that children love to play on. There are endless things to do on Prince Edward Island, a visitors delight.
