Las Olas Grand is situated on a private beach were pacific bottleneck dolphins are seen on a daily basis. During December trough February the Grey Whales (humpbacks) are migrating south to their protected lagoons. About 1 mile north Fox studios were Titanic, Captain and Commander, Water World, X-Men, and many other films were made. The museum on the studio grounds is a must see. There are two golf courses within 20 minutes, one is Ocean Front course, the other is a ocean view course. Ensenada Mexico is 30 minutes south of the resort, a large cosmopolitan city where the Baja 250, 500, and 1000 start every year. Curio shops are everywhere and there is no shortage of fine restaurants. Baja's vineyards are within a hours drive from the resort, sample Mexico's top wines and tour the magnificent wineries. Horseback riding on the beach while watching a dazzling sunset, and dancing the night away at one of the many night spots.
