Good value rooms and organic suppers in a monumental and ancient farmhouse set in rural bliss – run by delightful Isabelle and Gérard
Breakfast by the massive fireplace may be oil lamp-lit on winter mornings in this 13th-century fortress of a former dairy farm, with its ancient tithe barn and little watchtower. Isabelle is proud of her family home, its flagstones worn smooth with age, its high vaulted stone living-room ceiling, its second-floor rooms, one narrow with a shower in a tower, another with exposed beams and ciel de lit drapes. Her energy boundless, she is ever improving her rooms, gives you homemade brioche and jam for breakfast and really good organic dinners – much supported by Gérard.
