...a cushy leather double recliner....Those couches with loose floral cushions can be pretty to look at, but also pretty uncomfortable to sit on, if you are spending any extended time here, (which we hope you will do).... We take pride in keeping our unit looking fresh and inviting, assisted by our one special housekeeper.
Our unit is in a quiet setting not disturbed by traffic noise from the street.
HALE O MELE LAI is indeed our House of Happy Songs in Hawaii! ...We love the Hawaiian Culture and since Music is such an important part of the Culture and of our lives we want to share that with our guests by providing a library of HAWAIIAN MUSIC....You may enjoy picking up the ukulele and strumming your own songs. MELE LA'I is the name of an old Hawaiian Hymn.
We enjoy the best of both worlds by being at about 900 foot elevation, with nights a little cooler and days warm and sunny, therefore the 3 ceiling fans are adequate for comfort... short drive to the South Kohala Gold Coast are six wonderful long sandy beaches, including the well known Hapuna Beach (voted the best in the country) and 'Anaeho'omalu Bay.
Are you a GOLFER?? Waikoloa Villas is situated along the 18 hole WAIKOLOA GOLF COURSE, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. where golf fees are Discounted for our Guests (best value on the island)....Inquire...For the avid golfer, there are six other golf courses near by.

WAIKOLOA VILLAGE has a small Shopping Center with a wonderful, top notch, affordable local grocery store with bakery and meat market...Also a gas station, three small restaurants, medical offices, beauty salon, bank, florist, Post Office etc.
We are Centrally Located to the beaches, shops and restaurants along the Kohala Coast,.. the North Shore with Kamehameha's birthplace,.. the Cowboy Town of Waimea,..the old town of Hilo,..the Volcano..and the shops and restaurants of Kona..and much, much, much more...The Big Island has 11 different climate zones from the ocean to the top of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, so much variety of things to see and do.

King Bed: Our extremely comfortable California King has extra length.Queen Bed: This bed also has a very comfortable mattress and the black with floral decor is striking and so beautiful.Twin/Single Bed: This attractive twin day bed is in the 2nd bedroom, with a Back Saver Mattress..Child Bed: Foam futon mattresses to use on the floor.
We have a very good collection of Hawaiian music CD's to immerse you in the sound and mood of the islands.
There is a hot tub at each of the two swimming pools and solar panel heating warms the pools. There are 2 Grills in each of the 2 cabanas at the pools.
A Large selection of high quality pots and pan sets and two sets of dishes, glassware and stemware make cooking a breeze in this kitchen.
Lanai: Our lanai is especially large and roomy---table with 4 chairs, chaise lounge, bistro table with two bar stools, like adding another room. A small refrigerator and wet bar make it easy to reach for that cool drink.
Gazebo (2): There is a covered cabana at each pool with barbecue grills and tables for picnics.
Ocean View: When looking across the expanse of the golf course you can view the blue Pacific. Sunsets are also gorgeous from here! Golf Course Front: You can watch the golfers from our lanai.
