Georgian Bay Islands National Park and Awenda Provincial Park both make for adventurous day trips. The area is teeming with history. There are quaint antique stores to poke around in two nearby local towns. Or go in search of eggs, honey, maple syrup and home-made pies all available for sale from local farmers within walking distance.If you are a winter guest, the Blue Mountains are less than an hour away for skiing. (and are visible across the bay!)
