EL`LURE, our Bahama house, is located directly on the water between the villages of The Current and Lower Bogue. The house sits on a coral ridge covered with vegetation and an assortment of fruit trees, sea grapes and palms. There are steps leading into the water which varies from 1 to 3 feet, depending on the tide. The bottom is white sand and great for swimming, finding sand dollars and snorkeling along the rocky shoreline at high tide. You can walk or swim for hundreds of yards from the shore, as there are no currents or drop-offs, just white sand. Very private. No one walking in front of the house. And no sand flies.
