... winter, an easy 12 minute drive takes you to the beautiful Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory). Not only will you find nordic and alpine skiing/snowboarding there, but also sleigh rides, snowmobiling, tubing hills, snowshoeing, snow biking, dog sled rides, shops and resturants.

Downtown Durango is only 20 minutes away. Keep in mind that in the summer downtown Durango area can often be 10 degrees warmer than where out cabins are. That beautiful 20 minute drive takes you up 2000 ft so you are in the heart of the cool mountains with evergreen and aspen forests and little to zero humidity!!! In the winter if you want to be sure you are in a winter wonderland, once again on the mountain is the place to be. Of ten it may be raining in downtown Durango but snowing up where are cabins are.

Durango Mtn Resort is only 12 minutes away where you will find exhilerating alpline and nordic sking, sleigh rides and tubing hill. In the summer the resort comes alive with mountain biking, outdoor concerts, scenic chair lifts, and apline slides. Horsebackriding, white water rafting, jeeping high mountain passes or riding the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad or visiting Mesa Verde National Park will keep you busy.
