Our Curacao vacation rental is in Westpunt at the west end of the island, a half hour drive from the airport. We have close access to the best beaches and dive sites on the island. National and International dive magazines constantly rate the diving here among the top 3 dive destinations in the Caribbean. We have dive lockers and a rinse tank, kayaks, mountain bikes & snorkel gear and best of all extensive knowledge of the island and it's attractions and the willingness to escort you on any dive, hike , bike ride or kayak excursion. There is a full service dive shop on our street; Ocean Encounters West and on the weekends we serve lunch and dinner on the terrace.Christoffel National Park where you can hike or bike to spectacular views, Ascension, an historical slavery site, Hofi Pastor with an 800 year old Kapok tree and Boca Tabla with pounding north seas are less than 10 miles away. Within 15 miles there are more than a dozen beaches including playas Knip, Jeremi, Lagun, Porto Marie, Daaibooi, and Cas Abou; next to us are Playas Kalki, Grandi and Forti. There is windsurfing at the other end of the island.The city of Willemstad is a 40 minute drive away. Here you will find the Hato Caves, an Aloe & an Ostrich Farm, the Sea Aquarium, the oldest synagogue in the Caribbean, casinos, shopping and the Emma floating bridge in and around a colorful Dutch influenced city. You can ride an ostrich, horse or ATV, swim with the dolphins or sting rays, scuba, snorkel, bike, hike, golf, eat, or sit back with a book, relax and do nothing. The temperature is a constant 84 to 92 degrees with a cool ocean breeze. Since the island is located outside the hurricane belt, feel free to come at any time.
