This place was perfect for our familys celebration of our Dads 80th birthday. The pictures on the website perfectly depicted the house and barn as it is. This place was perfect for our familys celebration of our Dads 80th birthday. The pictures on the website perfectly depicted the house and barn as it is. There were 12 of us that stayed overnight for the weekend and all of us were very comfortable. The house made us feel like we were at home. The barn was perfect for our little party on Sat night when we were joined by the 12 other members of our immediate family. There was lots of great food and dancing that night in the barn. The house and barn were very clean and met all of our needs. Anne carlson, the property owner, was gracious enough to meet us at the property 2 weeks prior in order to go over the details. She was so great with all of our question and inquiries. On Sat some of us walked through Barnstable Village and down to the beach since the weather was perfect (less that a mile to the beach) I would definately recommend this house to family and friends.

This was the ideal setting for my summer family reunion. This historic home is full of charm and the perfect place to entertain at night. Plenty of space for our party to socialize together in the evenings, then when it was time to retire, we all had our privacy as well. The barn out back provided extra space and the home was its beautiful backyard for the days when we were not at the beach. Not your typical cape rental...this is a unique destination. we hope to gather there again next summer.

My husband and I rented the Crocker Tavern House as the location for our wedding and it was absolutely fabulous. The house was large enough for both of our families to stay under one roof and spend an unforgettable week together. We had a great week at the Cape with many trips to the beach and lots of time just relaxing and enjoying each others company at the Crocker Tavern. At the end of the week we had our wedding ceremony in the backyard amid the beautiful gardens. We held our reception in the gorgeous restored barn which was large enough for our famlies as well as other invited guests. We can't say enough about how great the Crocker Tavern was. In fact, our familes have now decided to make it a yearly summer event. a family reunion of sorts since were all spread across the country.

Submitted Oct 2010. Great location, 5 min walk to cute town, 10 min to the beach. The house was big enough for all of us, so many bathrooms! The barn is the perfect spot for a family party and the grounds are very pretty. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the area, or a group looking for a place large enough to have a meeting or reunion.
