The Master Bedroom: The master bedroom is a tranquil retreat for the heads of the house to retreat for some relaxation and privacy. A comfortable California King sized bed is dressed with a simple white and floral quilt, while a gorgeous turquoise quilt hangs on the wall and adds some color. Bright windows offer views of the meadow and mountains beyond and join with the skylight to let in morning light. A writing desk provides an ideal place to record one’s thoughts. A full bathroom adjoins the master bedroom, as does a large walk-in closet that holds a child’s bed should your little one need to be quite close.

Living Room: The living room is the heart of the home. It’s a bright, airy room with wood floors, crisp white walls, and expansive windows. An extensive library of books line the walls, making this room truly feel like home. We have books on everything from science to art to health to personal growth; you are sure to find something here to catch your interest as you curl up in front of the wood burning fireplace. In addition to books, we also have an extensive collection of LPs, CDs, and DVDs. Put on a favorite record, or gather everyone in the living room to watch a film. There is also an upright piano and an extensive selection of sheet music to satisfy everyone from beginner to virtuoso.

Second Bedroom: This bedroom is on the lower level of the house and features wonderful light and views views from windows on three sides. This bedroom is furnished with kids and teens in mind, and features a full sized bed, a twin sized bed, a futon, and a trundle bed, making it the perfect spot for a prolonged sleepover! This room has a private entrance as well as a TV.

Kitchen and Dining Area: The kitchen features beautiful custom wood cabinets that provide a warm atmosphere for preparing meals. Every appliance you could ever dream of needing is provided, including toaster, toaster oven, microwave, osterizer, mixer, food processor, juicer, ice maker, and coffee maker! The biggies are all here, too, including refrigerator, electric oven and range, and dishwasher. Just adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area with a lovely wood table that seats four to eight.

Outdoor Living Spaces: The entire home is surrounded by a wrap-around wood deck for outdoor lounging, or watching the wildlife or night skies. There is a screened in deck also, which serves as a smoker's lounge if needed.

There are a number of natural and cultural attractions within driving distance from Meadow House that are simply not to be missed if you find yourself around at peak season.

Klamath Lake: Klamath Lake offers a plethora of activities, from watching regattas to swimming to canoeing to manning a Catalina of your own! This beautiful lake offers a different take on Southern Oregon, and is a big change from the mountains and valleys. Rent a boat and explore the landscape from the water.

Crater Lake: Crater Lake is eighty miles from Ashland, but is worth the trek. The lake is famous and much loved for its intense blue color. Take the Rim Drive around the lake and admire the lake and the surrounding wilderness from a number of vantage points. For those who want to get a bit closer, the Park Service offer boat tours of the lake’s surface when weather permits. The park receives about 533 inches of snow each year, which is some of the most of anywhere in the country. This means that from October to June, accessibility to the lake and the park is pretty low. The best time to visit is in the summer months when the snow is melted and the park can be experienced in all its glory.

Oregon Caves National Park: Oregon Caves National Park is another attraction that’s a bit further afoot, but the 70 miles from Ashland are totally worth it. First, explore the old-growth forest on one of the many hiking trails that run through it. Smell the fir trees and admire the grand and beautiful Douglas Fir that has the widest-known girth of any in Oregon. Then venture underground on a magnificent cave tour of the Oregon Caves. The tours are only offered in late March through the end of November, and there are some physical requirements, but if you can tour them, do. You won’t regret it!

Historic Jacksonville: If you are interested in history or architecture or just love that small town feel, you must visit the town of Jacksonville, Oregon, which is just a few miles away from Ashland, Oregon. This gold-rush town was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966, and features over 80 historic buildings that have been preserved. Step back in time as you wander the town’s streets and admire the old beautiful old buildings. This quaint town has great shopping and dining, too!

Mount Shasta: Beautiful Mount Shasta is an hour south of Meadow House, over the California Border. Mount Shasta is the second highest volcano in the United States and is visible from 100 miles away! This beautiful mountain is perfect for hiking, climbing, and skiing, or just admiring from afar.

Yreka, California: Yreka was once a bustling gold rush town, but now it attracts adventurers on their way to explore the beautiful wilderness that surrounds this little town. This town features beautiful old architecture, historic museums, and quaint shops and cafes, and the Blue Goose train will take you to the quaint historic town of Montague where you can have a fantastic lunch.
