The lagoon takes you right out into the bay near Vol Sedge, where you can sail or kayak in protected coves along the bay from spring through fall. A LITTLE ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND LOVELADIES COTTAGE
This Long Beach Island vacation home and the neighborhood around Holly lagoon were built in the early 1950's. The fishermen moved in, and then school teachers with summers off came from the cities on the mainland with their families. Generations of kids have grown up playing on this street, in this lagoon, and on the bay and beach in the neighborhood. Lots of those kids and their kids still play here.
Dog friendly. No smoking. Sorry, no jet skis.
