My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying here during a "hurricane". I say that because there was absolutely nothing that could make my experience unpleasant. We had the time of our lives. Bill and his daughter provided us with everything we needed (flashlight etc). As cliche as it sounds, they felt like family by the end of our vacation. Despite the weather, I am literally shocked at the price we paid for this property. We were directly on the beach, and the property was incredibly beautiful. I can not sum up how amazing this vacation was.I am definitely a beach brat. I am very particular about the places I stay.THIS PLACE IS WORTH THE BUCK!!! My boyfriend and I will never forget how incredible this experience was. We will definitely be returning as soon as possible! Maybe even for a wedding :)

Just left sunset beach apartments after a really great weekend. We were in the upper apartment, the accomadations were superb. The view alone was worth the price of the rental. Bill and Shila and family made us feel comfortable,and filled us in on the goings on in the area. Step out of the door and you are on the beach, turn the other way and you are an easy 5 minute walk to the village. Would we come back again, yes, in fact we made another reservation before we left to insure a place for us.48419

Words cant express what a wonderful vacation that was waiting for us at Siesta Key. We travel extensively and have never felt such satisfaction with a location, and we are very hard to please. Bill was a god sent. He was available if we needed anything, and we did. It was so comforting knowing he was always looking out for us. We never felt that our privacy was intruded upon and the whole family was inviting and friendly. The cottage is very "Old Florida" with charm and every convenience anyone could ever ask for. The ocean front hammock was perfect for a late afternoon nap. It was a quiet and romantic time that I will remember when I am home watching the snow pile up. This is truly a paradise and we have made memories here that we will always cherish. We caught ourselves giggling several times when we realized that it was all real, that we were really in a place like this, that one even existed. Such unexpected treasures, such calm and peace, such a secret I wish I could keep. We will always remember this magical summer, this beautiful island, and this charming cottage by the sea.

WOW! We spent our honeymoon here after me researching Siesta Key for almost two years. Siesta key is the prettiest beach and part of Florida that I have visited yet. This upstairs rental was absolutely perfect for us. The view out the window is incredable. It had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The daquris in the village(which I might add really is only two blocks) were not good, so I decided to make my own, there was not a blender in the apartment but the owner quickly provided one. There are plenty of towels and linens. Little extras like body wash were nice to have and all the brochures for restuarants, sight seering, their son was so helpful with telling us places we might want to see and dine-the locals know---ask! The owners are such nice people and so accomodating. The grounds were very pretty with Seagrape trees where we took our coffee each morning under the shade, overlooking the beach while we watched the dolphins and manatees. And LOTS of really nice seating to lounge and a wonderful hammock for two in the shade, that overlooks the beach. I mean this place is directly on the beach! Alot of people stopped and ask for info because they wanted to stay there on their next trip. The reviews were so true--yes I read all of them before choosing and they were not exaggerating. It was so nice for us not to have to bring beach chairs and towels, these were provided. The apartments were cottage feel bright and cheery- alot of love went into this place, the family has owned this for generations. And the road someone mentioned is no longer there in front of the property. We made wonderful friends with this family, we were so sad to leave them. BUT! We will be returning here next year-we are kinda like the other reviewers we are afraid that once everyone discovers this place it will be harded to get the dates we want in the future. :( But when you find something wonderful you want to share it with others. Everything from the owners, to the beach, to the location were just perfect. My fiance and I had a wonderful time and immediately felt like home. Siesta Key will always hold a special place in my heart now, and that is partly due to the wonderful experience we had staying in this rental. It is a great place to stay for a few nights, a week, or even months. It was so great to wake up and walk right onto the beach or take a very short walk into the village. I had forgotten to write a comment when we stayed here last year..what a fantastic place to stay--right acorss from the beach--beautiful place on the inside--owners are very courteous and friendly--loved that we could enjoy the deck in the evening--very convenient to night life within walking distance--would highly recommend--we are planning our next trip and will definitely reserve this place--thanks for a great place to relax.. : )
