Casa de Abuela includes an authentic 1923 craftsman-style home and remodeled cottage north of downtown San Antonio in the up-and-coming Deco District. House architectural features include large wrap-around porch, high ceilings, arched windows, butler's pantry, gas fireplace and original hardwood floors throughout. The house is furnished with comfortable, attractive period pieces and is child and pet-friendly. The main house features central air conditioning and ceiling fans. It has two bedrooms furnished with 1920's period furniture plus a TV room and small office, both with double futons. It also has a full kitchen with double door refrigerator and gas stove. The master bath has a separate tub and shower, and there is a half bath for extra guests.

The guest cottage (originally servants' quarters) has been remodeled to include a sleeping loft and full bath but retains its unique eccentricities. It is situated at the rear of the property and has one large window air conditioner and a ceiling fan. It also includes a studio with a trundle/day bed, allowing you and your guests plenty of room and privacy.

The property is centrally located with easy access to downtown attractions like the Alamo and Riverwalk, Brackenridge Park with its world famous zoo, Fiesta Texas, and other points of interest. It's about 15 minutes from the San Antonio Airport and HEB's famous ‘Central Market'.
