Smiley Creek Lodge is open for the Summer Season.

We are open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. until mid-September and remain open with shorter hours until early October.

We offer food, ice cream, supplies, fuel, lodging, RV spots and a friendly place to relax in the Sawtooth basin of Idaho.

We are located just on the North side of Galena pass on Hwy 75. 37 miles North of Ketchum/ Sun Valley, 23 miles South of Stanley, Idaho.

There is so much to do right out our front door. Here's a sampling:
-Fabulous hiking and backpacking to the peaks and high alpine lakes of the Sawtooth Wilderness and White Cloud mountain ranges.
-Fishing in the Salmon River and its tributaries, or one of the hundreds of high alpine lakes.
-Back country scenic flying. The state of Idaho Smiley Creek airstrip is right across the road.
-Bicycling highway 75 through the valley or over the challenging Galena Pass, or mountain biking Fisher Creek Trail or one of the numerous other easy or gonzo routes.
-Wildlife viewing.
-Boating, or just hanging out on the beach at Alturas, Petit or Redfish Lakes.
-Touring the historic mining sites of Vienna, Sawtooth City or Bonanza and Custer a little ways down the road.
-White water rafting or kayaking on the Salmon River.
-Motocross or ATV riding.
-Horseback riding, either for the afternoon, or packing in for a week or more.
-Picnicking among the spring and summer wildflowers.
-Enjoying the dramatic colors of fall.
-Drive through taking in the beauty of Central Idaho.
-There is no end to the amazing things you could be doing in the Sawtooth Basin right now, summer or winter.

The Sawtooth basin offers miles of trails for world class hiking, horseback riding, off-road vehicles, and mountain biking. There are fishing opportunities in rivers, lakes and streams. Highway 75 is a popular for touring by car, motorcycle or bicycle. The Smiley Creek Airport is just 200 yards from the lodge.
