Our cottage is in Pripet, near Point Comfort Road, eight miles from the ferry dock. It sits on about seven acres of land with frontage on East Penobscot Bay.The main house was built in the 19th century, with an addition dating to the mid-20th century. We have added a spacious deck which overlooks woods and fields and provides distant views of the bay.Inside the house are three bedrooms and two baths. For cook-outs, we provide a gas-fired grill.
We rent our Islesboro cottage from Sunday to Sunday for $1000 per week during July and August. Off season we rent for $750 per week. We ask our guests to arrive after noon on their first Sunday, and to leave by noon on their last Sunday. We provide all linens, towels, etc. Your rent includes all utilities, including wood for the woodstove. We do ask that you pay us for long distance phone calls. We also ask that you vacuum, wash and dry your linens, and generally leave the house as you find it. No smoking in the house, and pets by special arrangement only. In order to reserve a week, we need to receive 50% of your rental fee. The remaining rent must be paid prior to your rental week.

The island is served by a Maine state ferry which runs hourly from early morning to late afternoon during peak months, and less frequently during the off-season. The crossing to Islesboro from Lincolnville Beach is three miles and takes about twenty minutes. In addition a private water taxi is available for evening trips to the mainland.
