Two bedrooms are on the 2nd floor with two additional bedrooms on the 3rd. The 4th floor roof-tio patio - is the 'Talk of the neighborhood!' Then let's talk about the 2 story high garage with it's New Hot Springs Vanguard Hot Tub and Tiki Bar area! The yard is a small wrap-a-round walk through an arbor with beautiful decorations of seashells and birds. We definitely do no have a Typical Home in the Historic District!
Located 4 blocks to Steward Beach, Corner of 10th and Sealy (One block off Broadway) and 3 blocks to UTMB.
Great for Wedding Party housing and small Corporate Meetings.

Dear Shelia, We had a great time at the Captain. It met our needs exceptionally well. Your personal service and attention to detail far surpasses anything I've experienced in other places I've been with youth groups. You genuinely like kids, and were glad to have them staying at your place. That is exceptional. Also, I wanted to tell you the seafood place you recommended, Benno's, was outstanding. The food was great, the prices reasonable, and the service very friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend the Captain and you to anyone.

Hosted a party for over 20 guys! for 3 night. Place is super and everyone had a great time. We even brought own carwfish and cooked over 200 lbs on Saturday. Shelia makes sure everyone has everything the need for a great stay!

Shelia was the perfect hostess for our Girl's Weekend Away. Everyone had a blast and we all have said that either together or apart with our families, we will definitely be back. The breakfast was perfect (especially since none of us wanted to wake up and make it!) and the house was perfect. It had a charm that you just can't get at a hotel or beach house. The house and Shelia made our weekend what it was! All that and it was a great deal for the money to be able to sleep 20 people.

We arrived in town with 15 Motorcyles for Biker Weekend and Shelia had the garage all ready for us - we got them all out of the weather! We had a fantastic time - and the house was perfect for our group. We have just called and confirmed the same date for this year. I highly recommend The Captain for you family or friends get-a-way and Shelia as your perfect host - She will see to it that every thing is perfect - including a 3 course Breakfast - if you want it - which we definitely are glad we did every morning!

We always come to Galveston for Dickens on the Strand and we loved staying at The Captain - it was just the right "OLD HOUSE" flavor we love. Shelia, our hostess, even arranged for a horse and carriage to pick us up in our period costumes. We have already booked for next year - We have told all our friends - and we will be back for many years to come.

Thank you Thank you Thank you - you were the perfect hostess. We loved the house, loved the hospitality, and loved all the extras. We have left our Security Deposit for NEXT YEAR - we want to book BOTH WEEKENDS for Mardi Gra. All our guests were just shocked at how much fun we had in Galveston and at The Captain.
