The kitchen offers an oversized gas stove and oven, large fridge, and all the kitchen equipment you'll need to prepare a gourmet meal.The entrance, living room and dining room all have antique cedar beam and wooden floors hearkening back to the days when the house was the original Cambridge Hotel. The original wrap-around veranda offers a welcome respite from the sun and the perfect place to catch the cool breezes on a summer day.Grocery stores and little restaurants are a short 5 minute drive or 10 min walk away with fabulous dining options in Somerset village, Dockyard and at the many fine restaurants down the south shore including Pompano, The Reefs, Henry VIII, The Southampton Princess ( 5 restaurants there including the fabled Newport Room) , the Waterlot Inn, Willowbank and many others..Interesting places to see in the vicinity would include Dockyard. The extraordinary installation features a collection of spectacular buildings erected for navy re-provisioning in the very early 1800's. The Maritime Museum out at Dockyard on Ireland Island has fascinating displays of items from Bermuda's extraordinarily colorful past, fully restored. The Commissioners House is an iron structure with the most commanding view of the island to be seen anywhere- from end to end. Other handsome buildings now house art galleries, museums, cafes, artist's workshops, theaters and pubs as well as a major ferry stop that will whisk you into Hamilton and on to St. Georges. Heading east by road towards Hamilton, you will be charmed with the town of Somerset- it has a post office and pharmacy, nice places to dine and little shops where you can re-provision while admiring the views and the mangrove-edged beach. A bus-ferry pass to get around would be a good thing to have if mopeds are not your style!
The Railway Trail is nearby as well, and offers a peek into Old Bermuda, as the trail wends away from the main road and past some fascinating old homes and farms with jaw dropping views. The grand beaches at Horseshoe, Warwick Long Bay and Elbow are a short bus or moped ride away and some are serviced public beaches with cafes, beach chair and umbrella rentals available. The local Supermarket is close by as well and spirits are sold until 9pm, and groceries can be purchased there until midnight.
Casual dining can be enjoyed next door at the Cambridge beaches hotel and Spa or at the Country Squire Restaurant or Frog and Onion Pub or Freeport Restaurant or Bonefish Restaurant or Salt Rock Suishi bar and restaurant which are all minutes away.
The Southampton Princess Golf Course, Port Royal and Riddells Bay are both 10 or 15 mins away.

We recommend Oleander Cycles as they have a kiosk next door at the Cambridge Beach Hotel and will also deliver. http://www.oleandercycles.bm/ Fishing, sailing and other charters are also available from the somerset dock next door.
Key points of interest are the Crystal caves, http://www.bermuda.com/caves/ and The Royal Naval dockyard, and Maritime museum http://www.bermuda.com/attractions/dockyard. A private tour of Somerset or Dockyard on Segways can also be arranged!
