...your swimming. Long Pond is a water enthusiast's paradise. Canoe and kayak rentals are available on our premises, with excellent gear and instruction provided.
There is something for everyone on Mount Desert Island. Outdoor activities include hiking for all abilities, canoeing & kayaking, sea kayaking, boat charters, bike rentals, and an excellent naturalist program with Acadia National Park personnel.
The Long Pond Lodge is available from mid-May through mid-October for weekly rentals. CAMP PONDS ENDis located at the North end of Lond Pond in the town of Mount Desert. Long Pond is surrounded by Acadia National Park.
Our cottage is newly remodeled inside and out. The inside is warmly done with native knotty pine. The cottage can accommodate 4 people with the queen size bed in the bedroom and the double sofa bed in the living room. There is a bathroom with a large shower and a washer and dryer. The living room has a beautiful granite fireplace with a gas log operated by remote control. For your enjoyment, large picture window looks down the pond for the most spectacular view of the water and mountains. Our cottage is completely furnished from cable TV, microwave, dishes, toaster, dishwasher, linens, iron, outside gas grill, picnic table radio, VCR, and a lobster cooker.
There is a dock out front that is shared with the National Park Canoe and Kayak Rental across the road. They keep their rescue and support boat at the dock.
