Thank you for your interest in A Suite At Kitsilano Cottage!

Unfortunately, by this time of the year we are nearly always mostly booked for the peak summer months. At this time our remaining July availability from the 1st - 03rd and as of couple of days ago, due to a change in guest plans July 24th - 28th, 2015.


Our property consists of a single, upscale, self-contained, garden level suite. It is approximately 825 square feet. There are two bedrooms. One has a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. There is queen sofabed, in the living room. The suite has a private entry, patio, flat screen, Plasma TV with VCR/DVD and digital cable, Hi-Speed Internet access, via WiFi, CD/Cassette/FM player, a single bathroom with tub/shower, fully equipped Cook's kitchen and in suite laundry facilities, for guest use. For daily rate, guests staying over a week we provide weekly linen changes and cleaning service. We do not serve breakfast. For our daily rate stay guests, we provide fruit, fresh baking and coffee and tea preparation materials, in the suite on arrival, for a complimentary, self catered, continental breakfast, for the first morning. Beyond that we recommend the many wonderful restaurants within walking distance for your meals. There is, of course, the option of using the suite's excellently equipped kitchen, for preparing meals. There are several grocers within easy walking distance to buy favourite meal preparation ingredients.

We are close to parks/beaches, boutique shopping, myriad restaurants and sidewalk cafes. In fact, many of the very finest restaurants in all of the Greater Vancouver area are within walking distance from our property. We are very close to many places of interest to both tourists and business travelers. The downtown core, Granville Island and the UBC campus are each about a five to ten minute drive from our beautiful, quiet, safe, residential neighbourhood. We are located in the 3400 block of West 7th Ave. Public transit is available, with a block and a half, either side of our location and services the most of the Greater Vancouver area and beyond. Parking is available on the street, nearly always, directly in front of the house on one side of the street or other, should plans include having a car, while in Vancouver.We are committed to offering our guests, peace, quiet and privacy, in comfortable, home away from home surroundings. Our rate structure is based on two seasons. Your requested period falls into the very peak of our busy Summer High Season period. The 2015 High Season rate is $255/night, for a single or for two persons sharing. Additional adults are charged at $50/night. This charge would apply to a second person if they were to use the second bedroom. All children, 12 years old and under are charged at $25/night and are welcome. We offer 5% discounts for stays of a minimum seven, or more, consecutive nights and 10% discount for stays of a minimum fourteen consecutive nights. Longer stays are quoted on a case by case basis. All rates are quoted in Canadian funds, (Currency Converter) and subject to applicable taxes.

Some notes on current booking policies follow:

In consideration of subsequent guests with allergy concerns, we unfortunately can not offer to accommodate pets. However, we can recommend boarding services for either dogs or cats.
Please note, we are a non-smoking facility. While cigarette smoking outside is permitted, absolutely no smoking indoors is allowed.
We operate on a 30 day Cancellation Policy. Reservations not cancelled 30 days prior to the proposed check in date, will be billed the full stay, total amount. If we are able to sell the time, or part of it, to another party, those proceeds can be refunded. The maximum amount is up to the cost of the reservation, less a minimum, one night's stay equivalent, hold back to recover costs.
Once a guest makes a booking, the entire quoted cost of the stay, including taxes is due and payable, at their check-in date. There are no credits issued or refunds for early departures. We always recommend our guests avail themselves of trip cancellation/interruption insurance, in case of emergencies which might necessitate having to not arrive at the appointed time to claim the reservation or having to leave prior to the agreed on departure day.
By accepting a booking with us, our guests' accept full financial responsibility for any damages to the premises, its contents and surrounding environs. By this guests agree that the cost of damage remediation will be billed to their credit card. Guests further agree that should the remediation cost exceed the credit limit of their credit card, they will, immediately on demand, pay the additional costs.

We do verify credit cards and need them to have their expiry date after the proposed stay. However, we do not bill cards until our guests' arrival time.
