This house was just great for us! There were four in our party and we had more than enough roomr and could have privacy and quiet time when we wished. The house is very clean and has everything you need including coffe and tea pots and hair dryers! It couldn't have been more comfortable! Mike was just great. On our first afternoon, he showed us around the neighborhood, saw that we had transportation passes and made sure we were knowledgable of how to use the Metro. He visited each morning to inquire about our plans for the day and then made suggestions of places to visit in that area. Mr. Marcel was also very helpful and so very nice! The house is in a very quiet neighborhood with several bakeries, restaurants, pharmacies and grocery stores within walking distance. Paris attractions are only a few minutes away and the Metro, RER, buses, etc are literally across the street making it very easy to go anywhere. We would highly recommend choosing this house for your stay in Paris!

The house was wonderful for our family of 6 and gave us plenty of comfortable space. The garden on the upper terrace is a great place for coffee, a drink or just relaxing. The townhouse has a lot of character and is convenient to so many things. Mike was extremely friendly and helpful and spent a lot of time on the phone with us assisting us in planning for our 1st trip to Paris. Mr. Marcel was equally wonderful and made us feel so very welcome!! I would recommend this townhouse to everyone!

Looking for someplace historic, intriguing, comfortable, and friendly? This spacious house will delight you. Built between two existing buildings, the house will spark your imagination about its past.
It has some steps, but the climb is well rewarded by the display of constructional ingenuity! And this special house is spotlessly clean! Plumbing is modern with an ingenious arrangement to make the facilities available to many guests at the same time. This house has the comfort of a fully equipped, eat-in kitchen AND a formal dining room. Laundry facilities include both a clothes washer and a dryer.
If you speak no French and are enjoying your first trip to Paris, your questions will be promptly, pleasantly, and accurately answered in English or French by the incomparable Mr. Marcel, the Property Manager.
The house is located just a few blocks from the Metro, a pharmacy, and a supermarket, with a lovely bakery on the way to the supermarket.
Not only were the accommodations delightful, but the interaction with the property owner and property manager were as well! When you first inquire about a reservation, expect a call from the owner. He cares about his house and his guests. And it shows!

I can’t say enough about how perfect this townhouse was for our stay in Paris. This was my 4th trip to Paris and the 3rd time in an apartment. This trip involved 6 people and we needed a property to accommodate us all, albeit it would have been just as suitable if there were only two of us. This was primarily a girls trip—myself and my girlfriends took my 18 year old niece to Paris as a graduation gift. Therefore we wanted a safe place stay. This is in a very safe neighborhood. We never felt uncomfortable going out at any time of day or night.
The location is idea: it is directly across the street from a Metro/Train station that goes to all the major Paris sites. In addition, there are grocery stores, boulangeries (bakeries) and pharmacies within 3 blocks. The townhouse has a washer and a separate dryer. The other apartments where I stayed in Paris, had an all in one washer dryer which can be very challenging to use.
Mr. Marcel (the caretaker) was very, very helpful. He was there to greet us at the townhouse even though we were scheduled to arrive much later in the day. When we were to leave, our car hire did not show up so he assisted us (at 5:00 in the morning) to get a taxi. I would not hesitate for an instance to stay here again.

We stayed at the apartment at the end of July 2013 and it was fantastic. My wife, child and I stayed on one level (my daughter had her own, very comfortable room) and my brother and his wife stayed upstairs with their own bedroom and bath. There was another great bedroom in the back that we did not even use but is very nice. Dr. Mike and Marcel looked after us well beyond the call of duty and had great tips for the area. The farmers' market very nearby was great as were the local restaurants. The metro stop is literally a minute away and made the rest of Paris very accessable. I highly recommend this place and its owner!

We were a party of 4 couples all aged in the mid-60's. Stayed Oct 10 - Oct 20, 2012. Per other reviews owner, Mike, was in frequent contact prior to trip to provide helpful advice. Caretaker, Mr. Marcel, is a most delightful, helpful, concerned fellow. Arranged 2 taxis for our departure trip to airport which was most helpful. Loved Mike's home. Even with 8 couples there was plenty of room. As noted in other reviews steep stairs could be a problem for those with mobility problems. Great neighborhood for cafes, patisseries, metro station, shops. Neighborhood felt safe at all hours. Great opportunity to briefly experience normal everyday French life.
Would warn others to beware of sophisticated pickpocket gangs (young girls) working crowded metros in the area of central Paris. 3 separate pickpocket attempts on our group. One attempt successful with a loss of $500. Despite that negative we would very highly recommend Mike's lovely home for any stay in Paris. john b

Just thinking about the good fortune we had in renting this house from Michel brings a smile to my face. The place was very roomy for the four of us using it, had everything promised and in great working order, and the location was wonderful for transportation, just a very short walk to the Metro station.
As if the place itself wasn't good enough, just as other guests have had, we had the extra wonderful bonus of meeting Marcel, who helped us tremendously during our two-week stay. I can't say enough about how nice, how kind, how patient, and how helpful Marcel is. Bravo to you, Michel, for having Marcel help your guests!
The only caveat I have about this place is that you need to keep in mind that it's a three-story house, which means lots of stairs and relatively steep stairs at that. If you have a problem climbing stairs, this is something to consider.
All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Paris or a better location. This was our third time visiting Paris over the years, and it will probably be our most memorable.

We just got back from Paris. The other reviews on this rental are totally accurate. Mike was excellent in arranging details and everthing went so smoothly. Mr. Marcel, the manager, was at the apartment waiting for us (we were an hour late but he waited) and showed us the house and gave recommendations on ways to get around. Great location in terms of transit, access to groceries and restaurants. Also, just far enough away from the center of Paris and get away from the crowds. We had an excellent time. Thanks Mike and Marcel.

Rented this townhouse for four days and it was perfect. Quick access to one of the largest Metro stations, convenient grocery/pharmacy/restaurant/wine stores. Even a movie theatre on the same block. Cafe right next door. From the apartment to the Eiffel Tower by train was about 10-15 minutes.
Mike took great care of us both before the trip and during, stopping by to say hello. Mr. Marcel, the caretaker, met us when we arrived and even gave us some tips on what to see. Between the two of them they anticipated and answered question we had.
The apartment itself is very large, and the flexibility in the arrangement makes it easy for families or unrelated groups. Two large bedrooms are relatively removed from the core of the building, and two others are adjacent to each other (and to the kitchen/bath) making it perfect for us to keep tabs on our small kids. This apartment could easily handle three separate couples who each wanted some privacy. We had five people and the place felt empty.
All the amenities are bright, clean, and fully functional, and things like an espresso maker and wifi internet really put the icing on the cake. Mr. Marcel even met us when we were leaving and walked us through a shortcut in the metro so we would have an easier time with our luggage.
