...through sliding doors to screened porch. Go through screened porch up four steps to the bedroom wing with two bedrooms, each with two twin beds, and a hall bath. All rooms have ceiling fans. The construction is post and beam with cathedral ceilings in living room and all bedrooms. The driftwood colored walls are a diagonal wood planking and all beams are exposed. The floors are natural butcher-block color. The house is wide and shallow to take advantage of the breath-taking views of the Vineyard Sound and the Elizabeth Islands. The entire back of the house is a wall of windows affording views from every room. The house on 1.3 acres is private (from all but one neighbor who is up hill from the house). When looking out the windows at the back of the house, or when sitting on the decks across the back of the house there is nearly complete privacy.

I've stayed at a lot of places on the Vineyard. I must say, none had a view that compared. It's better than beachfront! Your house is wonderful, I do wish the kitchen was a bit bigger. We had a most amazing time. Although Vineyard beaches are terrific, we found comparable tranquility just sitting on the deck or in the screened porch and taking in the view of the water. Can't come next season but we will be back.

We've been going to this charming, cozy house for years and it's just like visiting a family home. Every need is anticipated, every amenity is provided so that his/her hospitality is ever present, in absentia. It's the quintessential summer rental.
