Kite Cottage is the small wooden cottage (approx 40m2) on this 1000 m2 plot. The plot is not maintained as a garden but is fynbos. The area directly around the house is short grass.
We have furnished Kite Cottage modestly, with old interesting things, but you should find everything you need.
It contains a main bedroom with double bed and a small bunk-bed room. There is a good geyser, shower/bath and electricity supply. The main living area is an open kitchen with microwave, two plate stove and little oven, a small table with chairs as well as a couch.

Walk for two minutes to the salt pan and do some birdwatching. Great after dinner stroll. Walk to the coast and have a picknick by the tidal pool, or catch starfish at low tide. Onrus beach is the closeby beach for the those with tots. Voëlclip beach is the Hermanus version of the child friendly beach. Have dinner at one of many restaurants in the area; click here. Go shopping at Hemel & Aarde Valley, great for lunches and beachy interior finds. Gateway Shopping Centre has got everything you need, a massive Spar as well as a great Fruit & Veg City. SuperPlants has got a very child friendly coffee shop, pet shop next door and junglegym. Hermanus craft market on Saturday morning. A walk along the cliff path from the new harbour to the other end of Hermanus. Whales! Whales! Whales! The tidal pool in Hermanus is great with little ones. Fernkloof nursery for a serious farmers market on Saturday morning and super cheap indigenous plants.
