Albufeira is one of the best known resorts in the Algarve. It has two areas, one being the Old Town, which centres around the square and Fishermans Beach & provides all of its visitors with a fantastic atmosphere as they wander around the cobbled streets leading off from the square. Whilst in the Old Town, there are many fantastic restaurants & snack bars to dine in, something to suit all tastes.
The other area is the newer part of Albufeira and this is centered around a mile long road called The Strip that stretches from the top end of Montechoro right down to Oura, leading down the hill to the sandy beach. Along this avenue you will be provided with an abundance of restaurants, bars & souvenir shops.
Albufeira can easily be explored on foot, or you can discover the resort by noddy train or a fantastic city bus called The Giro that services all of Albufeira and its outskirts, including the Marina & local train station in Ferreiras.
The Algarve & Portugal offers many attractions for its visitors, from the top international golf courses & panoramic & historical sightseeing musts to the waterparks & Zoomarine and glorious sandy beaches with many an activity taking place on them during the summer.
Whether you are a first time visitor to Portugal or a frequent guest, we would like to welcome you to our two bedroom holiday apartment in Forte Sao Joao. Our apartment is in a privileged location just off of the coastal road that leads between both areas of Albufeira. Both centres are easily accessible on foot, an approximate 10 - 12 minute stroll.
Our local beach is a five minute walk down the road - maybe a few more minutes on the way back up though!!!
In the immediate vicinity there is a minimarket, newsagent, snack bar and a few bars & restaurants.
There are several larger supermarkets in the area which take about 10 minutes to walk to.
Our apartment inside has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and an ensuite shower room. The other bedroom has two single beds and there is also a separate bathroom with bath tub and shower attachment.
The kitchen is equipped with all the utensils that you will need, along with an oven & hob, fridge with freezer compartment, electric kettle and filter coffee machine, microwave and a separate room with a washing machine.
The living room has a double sofa bed, 2 easy chairs, A dining table & 6 chairs and that all important freeview satellite television.
There is a balcony that leads off from the living room and offers a view over the generous sized swimming pool.
Our apartment sleeps a maximum of 6 people and a cot & highchair can be provided if needed ( please prebook these ).
There is an iron & ironing board and a hairdryer inside the apartment as well.
Beach towels can be provided for your use during your stay - just ask when making your reservation.
The local airport is called Faro and is approximately 35-40 minutes away by car. Airport & golf transfers and car hire can be arranged for all of our guests - again just ask.
Everyone is welcome whether you want a weekend away, a mid week break or your annual holiday. The minimum stay is 2 nights.
